Our classes have clear, individualized instructions to help students with the details. You choose what kind of class you would like. Options range from dynamic and strengthening workouts to calm practices that focus on breathing and relaxation. We adapt classes to all experience levels, from beginners to experienced practitioners.

  • Pilates is an accessible practice that focuses on the refinement of motor control of support muscles to improve movement and posture in everyday life. We use a variety of floor exercises (and, optionally, accessories) to develop stability, balance and alignment and to give a gentle (although sometimes challenging) workout. It is also good modality to help recover from injuries. 
  • Pilates+ differs from standard Pilates classes in that they incorporate certain non-traditional exercises (e.g. from Systema) that fall within the Pilates principles of concentration, control, centre, flow, precision, and breathing.
  • Flow explorations takes inspiration from Pilates, martial arts conditioning and the physical and mental aspects of the vinyasa and hatha traditions of yoga. In a playful and modern manner, we connect with our bodies and cultivate attention and discipline by deconstructing the movements and postures of these traditions. In this way, we put into play the idea that these movements and postures, with attention on the breath, on the spine and on good physical alignment--are building blocks of awareness and meditation, just as meditation is preparatory for bringing attention and presence into daily life.
